Cup-a-cake

Sorry for my lack of posts this week. I have a cold but i'm getting better and should be all right in a few days or so.

I bought these cupcakes at Cup-a-cake in Chermside's Westfield Shopping Centre. Well, how did they taste I hear you say...not that good! They tasted like they came out of a box and the icing was too buttery and too peppermint essenty. I think that they looked good but taste wise they didn't work for me.

Chocolate Forest

Peppermint Patty (this was my daughters choice)
Because of these disappointments, i've decided to make my own Chocolate Forest and Peppermint Patty cupcakes. I'll post my success/failure on Tuesday :)

  3. yeah I have bought cupcakes from the Farmers Markets from that fancy cupcake place they look amazing.. but the cake is dry and the icing is like pure icing sugar ..ICK!! makes you sick.. the kids eat the icing and then leave the dry cake for me.. I havent bought one since.. I tried her twice and twice no good.. I love moist cakes

  9. I only discovered Cup-A-Cake at Chermside yesterday and being a cupcake fan, I have to say I was so dissapointed. I went a plain vanilla capcake and it was... well, like a brick! I enquired if they were fresh and the girl sort of hesitated then said they were made 'locally' and decorated in shop. I'll go back and try other flavours but only one more chance!

  10. I bought 2 of these on sunday and they were gross. Bad dry cake but the worst part is the icing! Whoever makes these cup cakes should realise that taste is more important than looks.

  11. I bought a box of 4 today. They were terrible!! The cake was dry and unappealing. The presentation is fantastic but unfortunately, the worst cupcakes I have ever eaten. Never again.
